PHHM2020

Conference Focus and Theme

Tallinn Health Care College (THCC) celebrates 80 years anniversary in October 2020. During these 80 years, we have educated thousands of health professionals in several generations and different specialities. The contribution that our alumni have made to the better health and life of Estonian people, is precious.

To celebrate our academic accomplishments in health sciences, the international and interdisciplinary conference “Public Health & Healthcare in the Move” – Opportunities and Challenges in Research, Practice and Policy will be organized on October 28-30, 2020.

The conference focuses on the changed situation in healthcare that raises new expectations and challenges to health professionals, patients, policy-makers, researchers etc. This involves the ways health professionals are educated and how this, in turn, influences the wider context of healthcare research, practice and policy.

Among other topics, the conference aims to bring in front healthcare topics through the prism of innovation, digitalization, changing roles (e.g. patient, health professionals etc.), chronic illnesses, quality management and leadership in healthcare; workforce development, empowerment and advocacy.

The target group of the conference is scholars, researchers, practitioners (e.g. nurses, physicians, technicians, pharmacists etc.) and policy-makers from different fields.
