Safety and security measures: Proportionality and balance in safety and security, national regulatory programmes; and practical examples of ALARA in the implementation of security measures in different sectors and practices. Planned exposure situations: Exposures arising from the implementation of security measures (workers, security personnel, public); training of security personnel and other peripheral workers; and practical examples of planned recovery operations. Emergency situation management (especially due to malevolent acts): National strategies and cross-boundary effects; exposure and training of first responders; estimation and control of public doses; and feedback from incidents and lessons learned.
