Abstract	The purpose of CNR*13 is to assess the status of knowledge of compound-nuclear reactions, to review current theoretical and experimental efforts aimed at understanding compound-nuclear reactions, to identify areas in need of development, and to outline possible strategies for addressing these needs. Our goal is to bring together experts in nuclear theory, experiment, and data evaluation.
