	abstract: Nanotechnology Regulation in Consumer Products Nano is booming in stores and on the Internet: “Nano-Food,” “Nano-Health,” “Nano-Beauty” and “Nano-Electronics” are just a few of the keywords one can encounter in the all but boundless world of Nano-Consumption. Nanoadditives allow many conventional products to be improved, and their benefits are evident in numerous applications. Surveys show that consumers are not basically opposed to nanotechnology. But in consumer-related products such as food, cosmetics, and packaging materials, they demand a clearer declaration and more information on possible risks.
