 Abstract Since 1955 the International Teletraffic Congress (ITC) is providing a forum for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss innovations in telecommunications network design, performance evaluation, reliability, quality and traffic management measurements and forecasting. Over the years, it has broaden its scope to address a wider spectrum ranging from the mathematical theory of traffic processes, stochastic system modelling and analysis, traffic and performance measurements, network management, traffic engineering to network capacity planning and cost optimization, including network economics and reliability for various types of networks. ITC 25 will continue the tradition focusing on teletraffic contributions to benefits and costs of emerging architectural shifts that face the challenges of the future Internet.
