12 Nov 2008 → 24 Nov 2008; Kharagpur, India

abstract: An Asian location conference equivalent to the PACROFI (American) and ECROFI (European) conferences.

topics: To include broad topics relevant to crustal fluids: magmatism, mineralization, metamorphism, deformation and sedimentary basin evolution. The actual scientific sessions will be decided after seeing the abstracts. Possible additional sessions could be Analytical Techniques, PVTX relationships in fluid mixtures, Melt Inclusions and Quantitative Modeling of Fluid Evolution. The meeting will surely address burning issues of Fluid Inclusion Research. The opening session will be to commemorate the contributions of Ed Roedder and Asoke Mookherjee, the two great souls that departed us in 2006. As far as possible, parallel sessions will be avoided or minimized. This is open to suggestions from participants.
