Meetings/Workshops on Multidisciplinary or General Events in Informatics in India
Conference-Service.com offers, as part of our business activities, a directory of upcoming scientific and technical meetings. The calendar is published for the convenience of conference participants and we strive to support conference organisers who need to publish their upcoming events.
Although great care is being taken to ensure the correctness of all entries, we cannot accept any liability that may arise from the presence, absence or incorrectness of any particular information on this website. Always check with the meeting organizer before making arrangements to participate in an event!
Meeting organizers can submit meetings free of charge for inclusion into the listing.

| 1. | [ID=182967]NCPC-2008 | | 20 Oct 2008 → 22 Oct 2008; Bangalore, India | | organizer: PES Institute of Technology | | abstract: Parallel Computing (PC) is a subject discussed in the context of high performance computing (HPC). The goal of HPC is to find faster solutions to larger and more complex problems. This area is a highly interdisciplinary area ranging from numerical analysis and algorithm design to programming languages, computer architectures, software and real applications. The participants include engineers, computer scientists, applied mathematicians, physicists, and many others. This concentrates on well developed and more research oriented parallel algorithms in science and engineering that have traditionally relied on high performance computing. PC operates on the principle that large problems can often be divided into smaller ones, which are then solved concurrently. There are several different forms of parallel computing: - Bit-level parallelism
- Instruction-level parallelism
- Data parallelism
- Task parallelism
It has been used for many years, mainly in high-performance computing, but interest in it has grown in recent years due to the physical constraints preventing frequency scaling. Parallel computing has become the dominant paradigm in computer architecture, mainly in the form of multicore processors. However, in recent years, power consumption by parallel computers has become a concern. | | topics: Parallel Computing, High Performance computing, Computer Architecture, Computer Algorithms, Real Applications, Bit-level parallelism, Instruction-level parallelism, Data parallelism, Task parallelism | | weblink: http://www.pes.edu/ncpc08/home.aspx | | related subject(s): Software Engineering |
| 2. | [ID=182792]NGSA-08 — International Conference on Managing Next Generation Software Applications | | 05 Dec 2008 → 06 Dec 2008; Coimbatore, Tamilnadu, India | | abstract: The next generation software applications is a new thrust to support multi-
disciplinary software research. The overall focus of the next generation
software application will be research and development for new software tech-
nologies integrated across the systems. The conference is to be fostered under
the present initiative to more integrated software environments. Conference
includes keynote address / invited lectures, panel / plenary sessions, regular
oral paper sessions and industrial presentations. | | weblink: http://www.karunya.edu/mca/mngsa/ |
