	abstract: Following the success of the 1st international congress on nanoscience and nonotechnology in 2006, University of Tabriz and Iranian Association of Nanotechnology are joining forces to arrange second congress in 2008. The aim of the 2nd International Congress on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2008 (ICNN2008) is to provide an open forum for the presentation and discussion of recent research and development results to prepare the path for future industrial applications. The ICNN2008 represents also an occasion for international scientists to meet and discuss the advances in the nanotechnology field. The congress covers the whole spectrum of topics from the frontiers of nanoscale science and technology.
