| 14 Apr 2011 → 16 Apr 2011; Beirut, Lebanon |
| abstract: Energy crisis and the need for a clean and safe environment are major factors affecting the peoples living around the busy Mediterranean Sea. This area of the world is seen as the future attraction of most visitors not only for tourism but as a peaceful and flourishing place for living. Governments are urged to look for new sources of energy mainly those considered as renewable. There exists many data on most renewable energy sources, but the main aim of MEDGREEN'2011 is to present a discussion especially about those sources available in this particular area of the world, and if possible promote hybrid systems which may offer a better performance and cost effectiveness. Such systems are to be deployed for domestic and industrial as well as for other purposes. Problems related to the implementation of renewable energy conversion systems, such as pollution and environmental damage, must be considered thoroughly.
