| abstract: 2011 Casablanca International Conference and Workshop in Mathematical Biology aims to bring together expert researchers from all over the world to share their research results about all aspects of Mathematical Biology in general and the use of optimal control theory in biology and medicine in particular. This meeting also intends to promote and explore new collaborations among the international scientific community and researchers. The conference will cover major topics such as (but not limited to) the modeling of the dynamics of infectious diseases, the ecology and evolution of diseases, their epidemics, virology, and immunology, and cancer modeling. The workshop will include eight plenary talks by leading researchers in mathematical biology, three to four parallel sessions of invited and contributed talks, a graduate students and postdoctoral fellows poster session and an expert panel to discuss current problems and future directions in mathematical modeling of biological processes. |
