	abstract: The objective of MCCRE 2008 is to provide a forum in which representatives of Academia, Industry and Research Centers, working in the field of Chemical Reaction Engineering can exchange ideas, present new developments and discuss recent results. The previous version of this congress (MCCRE 2006) was held in Mexico City in April 2006, which was a great success. Sixteen papers were published in a special issue of Fuel Journal (Vol. 86, No. 9, June 2007). We strongly encourage all the scientific community to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations at the upcoming MCCRE 2008.
