abstract: The Asia Pacific Digestive Week (APDW) is an annual scientific meeting of regional organizations in Gastroenterology and related fields held in collaboration with member societies and the four major regional bodies including the Asia Pacific Association of Gastroenterology (APAGE), Asia Pacific Society of Digestive Endoscopy (APSDE), Asia Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL), and International Society for Digestive Surgery (ISDS). Its mission is to provide a medical forum for education and research in Digestive Diseases.

abstract: Cardiac CT imaging meeting

abstract: Chest Imaging is an intensive three-day course presented by a nationally renowned faculty and members of the thoracic radiology divisions of the Harvard-affiliated teaching hospitals. It is intended to provide a comprehensive state-of-the-art review of thoracic imaging including computed radiography, MDCT, MRI, FDG-PET and thoracic interventional procedures.

Recent advances in cardiac imaging with MDCT and MRI will also be discussed.

abstract: This meeting will look at physical mechanisms by which diagnostic ultrasound may cause harm and will give an overview of the safety legislation. Equipment testing and equipment management policies will be reviewed with the focus on ultrasound safety. This meeting will be of interest to all those using diagnostic ultrasound clinically, those responsible for teaching and training, and those concerned with managing ultrasound equipment.

abstract: An exciting and comprehensive program highlighting many state-of-the-art scientific and technological advances is planned. The subjects include radiation detection, detector materials, electronics, and image reconstruction algorithms as well as complex radiation detector and imaging systems for research and applications in the fields of medicine, biology, material science and physics. Interdisciplinary research will be given a special emphasis.

abstract: Molecular imaging techniques especially positron emission tomography (PET) have been increasingly applied in contemporary CNS drug discovery and development. Such techniques allow in the living animal or human subjects the assessment of compound exposure in the CNS, binding to the designated target(s), and the relationship of occupancy and pharmacodynamic effects, as well as the development of biomarkers. Speakers will address advantages and pitfalls, and current methods of molecular imaging for CNS drug discovery and/or development, and provide a range of examples of successful PET tracer development for novel therapeutics.

abstract: The aims of the meeting are to provide a forum for scientific issues in PET/CT and to provide attendees with up to date information on PET/CT facility design, testing and staff safety. An insight into the use of PET/CT in the research environment and also the production of PET radiopharmaceuticals will be given. The meeting will consist of proffered papers and invited presentations from leading figures in the field.

abstract: The meeting is designed to identify the latest evidence for the importance of the tumour microenvironment for treatment response. It will consist of several invited lectures exploring the experimental,translational and clinical evidence for this process. Proffered papers are also invited for this meeting.
