	abstract: The field of proteomics is growing constantly. Nowadays Proteomics is becoming an instrument of support for Systems Biology or Medical Chemistry. In addition, the improvements driven by Analytical Chemistry in Mass Spectrometry are quickly implemented in Proteomics. Ultimately, the advances in Analytical Chemistry are implemented in Systems Biology or Medical Chemistry through Proteomics. For this reason we have considered extremely important to devote one International Congress to Analytical Proteomics, aiming to share in the same meeting the knowledge among those developing the Analytical Techniques for the Proteomics of the XXI century and those making use of them. Jointing researchers from all the Proteomics´ frontiers we hope to do a meeting that will greatly delight us.
