| abstract: The start of conferences on chemical thermodynamics in Russia dates back to 1961 and they are regularly organized once in two-three years since that time (but for the 1992 - 2001 big break that is a single exception). In a period before 1977 they were called "All-Union conferences on calorimetry”. Later on, for the period between 1979 and 1991 its title was changed for “All-Union conference on calorimetry and chemical thermodynamics”. And presently we call it “The International Conference On Chemical Thermodynamics In Russia”. Every conference usually gathers up to 400 leading experts in various areas of chemical thermodynamics with up to 150 foreign scientists. These conferences are traditionally held in leading Russian scientific centers (including former USSR territory in Soviet time): six times in Moscow, three times in St.-Petersburg, twice in Tbilisi (before decay of USSR) and once in such cities as Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk , Nizhniy Novgorod, Ivanovo , Suzdal. |
