	abstract: The Q&NLO-2008 Ph.D.-course is a course for students interested in learning about modern developments within nonlinear optics and quantum optics. However, we also make room for short research report from scientists and Ph.D.-students working at the very forefront of research in this field. We also expect students to actively engage in group work and be active in discussions and presentations of their results.
