03 Oct 2008 → 05 Oct 2008; Bangkok, Thailand

abstract: Amidst the worldwide crises of global warming, deteriorating environment and depleting fossil fuel reserve, the needs for greener energy sources and material emerge. Scientists and researchers have been trying hard to work on the new technologies to meet the rising demand of 'green' products. Therefore, biofuel and bioplastics not only have transformed to the rising stars in eco-business, but they have also become one of the most important innovations of the eco-industry!

Thailand is endowed with abundance of potential raw material for eco-industry such as palms, sugar canes and casava. Hence, we can serve as a prospective hub for alternative energy sources and environmentaly friendly bioplastics. Our current National Development Plans also foster the developments of both biofuel and bioplastics to secure our national energy stability.
