1.AAA83 — The 83rd Workshop in General Algebra - 83. Arbeitstagung Allgemeine Algebra

Location	Novi Sad, Serbia
Abstract	The AAA is a series of workshops in general algebra and related fields, taking place twice every year: a 'winter edition' in February-March and a 'summer edition' in May-June. Usually, they are organised at universities in Germany and Austria, but several meetings were held in Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Finland. The traditional AAA was founded in 1970 by Rudolf Wille, TU Darmstadt. The general coordination stayed with Prof. Wille until 1995, when after 50 conferences he passed it on to Reinhard Pöschel and Bernhard Ganter, TU Dresden. This is the first time that an AAA conference is held in Serbia. Nevertheless, we have quite a rich experience in organising large-scale events from our own series of conferences in algebra (NSAC).
