Until 2020, the total capacity of the existed units will reach 40 MKW with another 18 MKW under construction. The increasingly attention on energy saving and pollution emission, rapid development of power units construction and considerable progress on basic arena yield the development of China nuclear power market and indicate its huge market potentials.

Zusammenfassung: With the development of industrialization, the disadvantages of the traditional development mode based on the high energy consumption, high cost and high pollution have become increasingly prominent. Human is facing severe existence crises followed by the sharp deterioration of the ecological environment and the severe shortage of energy resources. Energy is an important physical foundation for a country to develop its own economy, stabilize the social order and enhance its comprehensive national strength; therefore, the energy problem has become a pressing international issue.

In order to promote academic exchange and cooperation, speed the pace of innovation in energy science and technology, and improve the living environment, Energy Conservation & Enterprise Energy Management Committee of China Energy Research Society will hold “Conference on Energy Strategy and Technology" (CEST) in Beijing on October 23-24, 2010.
