Zusammenfassung: One advanced course will present the fundaments of foliation theory, and the other advanced courses will introduce some of its most active areas, like dynamics of foliations, classifying spaces, index theory for foliations and group actions, or rigidity and leafwise ohomology. These courses should provide the audience with the necessary tools to work on some of the most important unsolved problems on foliation theory.

Zusammenfassung: The conference will focus on zeta functions in algebra and geometry. Among the main topics to be covered are: 1) Arithmetic and geometric aspects of local, topological and motivic zeta functions, 2) Poincaré series of valuations, 3) Zeta functions of groups, rings and representations, 4) Prehomogeneous vector spaces and their zeta functions, 5) Height zeta functions, 6) Computation of zeta functions and applications.

Zusammenfassung: The Mathematical Research Institute of the University of Seville (IMUS) is organizing a conference on the topic of Harmonic Analysis and Applications to pay tribute to Professor Richard Wheeden and acknowledge his many contributions to Harmonic Analysis and related fields like P.D.E.

Zusammenfassung: The School is addressed to Ph.D. students and young post-doc researchers working on Number Theory, Algebraic Geometry and related areas. There will be four courses: (1) 'Introduction to rigid cohomology' by Bernard Le Stum (University of Rennes). (2) 'Dwork cohomology and applications' by Steven Sperber (University of Minnesota). (3) 'Overconvergent F-isocrystals and rigid cohomology on curves' by Nobuo Tsuzuki (Tohoku University). (4) 'An introduction to Dwork's p-adic analytic representation of an additive character' by C. Douglas Haessig (University of Rochester).

Zusammenfassung: Professor Dikranjan is an author of more than 150 research articles and 4 monographs. His major areas of expertise are: topological algebra (topological groups, topological rings and modules), general topology, algebra (associative rings and algebras, commutative rings and algebras, group theory), category theory (categorical topology and categorical algebra), combinatorics and algebraic structures, dynamical systems. The Conference is directed to leading experts in both algebra and topology, as well as their applications, thereby contributing to an inter-disciplinary collaboration.

Zusammenfassung: The meeting, which alternately takes place in Italy and in Spain, aims to promote the cooperation between Italian and Spanish topologists. The participation of researchers from other countries is warmly encouraged. Traditionally, it is emphasized on the relation between the general or set-theoretic topology, and other areas of mathematics or sciences. Thus, topics like, for example, topological methods in functional analysis or in dynamical systems, hyperspaces, applied topology for computer sciences or economy, algebraic methods in spaces of continuous functions, etc, are usually considered.
