Forensic engineering requires the most rigorous investigation of the range of technical and organisational factors that contribute to failures, whether they lead to litigation or form the basis of an agreed settlement between the parties involved.

Zusammenfassung: The 9th Asia Pacific Industrial Engineering & Management Systems Conference and the 11th Asia Pacific Regional Meeting of the International Foundation for Production Research will be hosted by the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Bandung Institute of Technology, and the Indonesian Association of Industrial Engineering Higher Education Institutions (BKSTI). Zusammenfassung: The second in this series of conferences will be another step forward to focus on recent advances in thermo-mechanical processing, emphasizing various simulation techniques and their appliations. It will provide an opportunity to scientists and technologists from research/academic institutes, and manufacturers to share their experience and find new directions in producing high value products.
