Zusammenfassung: Convened once every four years since 1968, this symposium presents the most recent technical information on a class of high-strength, high-temperature alloys commonly known as superalloys. It provides a forum for technical interchange among researchers, producers and users regarding the design, processing, utilization, testing and behavior of high-temperature materials.

Zusammenfassung: The NONFERMET Fair is the one and only fair held in Poland exclusively devoted to the non-ferrous metals manufacturing industry.

The exhibitors: companies employing and developing new technology will show the latest ranges of their machines and equipment for use in non-ferrous founding, raw materials and component for metallurgical processes as well as die/pressure castings from aluminium and zinc. The most sizable representation of exhibitors is made up the aluminium processing sector.

Zusammenfassung: The second in this series of conferences will be another step forward to focus on recent advances in thermo-mechanical processing, emphasizing various simulation techniques and their appliations. It will provide an opportunity to scientists and technologists from research/academic institutes, and manufacturers to share their experience and find new directions in producing high value products.

The conference will focus on: such topics as: phase transformation; recrystallization and grain growth; mathematical modeling of metallurgical processes and microstructure; simulation of continuous casting, hot rolling, forging, heat-treatment, strip annealing and welding; advances ion thermo-mechanical processing of steels; structure-property correlation; and emerging steel.

Zusammenfassung: The field of gold science and technology continues to undergo an exciting period of discovery. World Gold Council and the University of Heidelberg are pleased, therefore, to announce their co-organisation of the 5th international conference on gold science, technology and its applications at the University of Heidelberg, Germany between Sunday 26 – Wednesday 29 July 2009.

This conference follows thesuccessful and stimulating conferences held in Cape Town (2001), Vancouver (2003) and Limerick (2006) and the earlier meeting on 'Progress in the Science and Technology of Gold’ which took place in Hanau, Germany in 1996. Many scientists and technologists in academia and industry have praised the excellence of these forums, where they can come together to learn of and discuss the latest advances, with the overall objective of encouraging important new industrial applications for gold.

Zusammenfassung: The International Biohydrometallurgy Symposium 2009 (IBS-09) will be the 18th event of highly successful meetings where basic scientists and industrial experts meet to interchange experimental results and ideas about this interdisciplinary field.
