Zusammenfassung: The International Conference on Image and Signal Processing 2010 (ICISP 2010) aims to provide researchers and practitioners from academia and industry with a forum to report on the latest developments in image and signal processing, multimedia and computer graphics. The conference will also provide a unique opportunity for sharing experiences from different backgrounds with the common interest in advanced methods in the above mentioned fields and in industrial applications. We cordially invite you to participate in this event by submitting your work in all aspects of this field from underlying technologies to applications, and from theory to practice. The technical program will consist of invited talks, oral and poster sessions with topics of general interest in a single track. We particularly encourage submissions from students. Papers are solicited addressing theoretical as well as practical issues related to the conference themes.

Zusammenfassung: The purpose of SIGMAP 2010, the International Conference on Signal Processing and Multimedia Applications, is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested on information systems and applications in the context of Signal Processing, including theory and practice in the field of telecommunications, image, video, audio, biometrics, etc., and Multimedia Applications related to representation, storage, authentication and communication of multimedia information.

Zusammenfassung: DAFX is a synonym for digital audio effects. It is also the name for a European research project for co-operation and scientific transfer, namely EU-COST-G6 “Digital Audio Effects” (1997-2001). It was initiated by Daniel Arfib (CNRS, Marseille-France). During the last years we had seven international workshops/conferences on DAFX, namely in Barcelona (DAFX-98), Trondheim (DAFX-99), Verona (DAFX-00), Limerick (DAFX-01), Hamburg (DAFX-02), London (DAFX-03), Naples(DAFX-04), Madrid (DAFX-05), Montreal (DAFX-06) and Bordeaux (DAFX-07). We are looking forwardto the next international conference DAFX-08 in Espoo. A variety of DAFX topics have been presented by international participants during these conferences. Zusammenfassung: The International Conference on Image Processing (ICIP), sponsored by the IEEE Signal Processing Society, is the premier forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields of theoretical, experimental, and applied image and video processing. ICIP-2010, the seventeenth in the series that has been held annually since 1994, will bring together leading engineers and scientists in image processing from around the world. Research frontiers in fields ranging from traditional image processing applications to evolving multimedia and video technologies are regularly advanced by results first reported in ICIP technical sessions.

Zusammenfassung: This workshop focuses on the processing, modeling and simulation of image data, and in particular, data that is related to humans and human activities. The main core areas consist of image processing, computer graphics, virtual surgeries, and sport sciences. The modern world is full of image data that is not only gathered from the real world via various imaging mechanisms, but also produced through computer simulations in a wide range of virtual settings. In order for this image based information to be useful, tasks such as cleaning up the images, segmenting special features from images, and comparing either the extracted features or the image data itself are essential. These tasks involve processing data that live in a wide range of dimensions, from two dimensional image data to very high dimensional data (e.g. the space of images), and require in depth mathematical analysis, modeling, and numerical algorithms.
