Zusammenfassung: This school is the 1st edition of the Brazilian-French Summer School in optics-photonics fields, and the 2ed edition will be held in French in 2011, in the South of France (Marseille)

The goal of this School is to offer the students or engineers qualification in the highly innovative domain of instrumentation applied to two different branches of contemporaneous Science & Technology : Astronomy and Organic Electronics. Skills will be acquired at the interdisciplinary level needed to develop original concepts and applications.

Zusammenfassung: The NUSOD conference intends to connect theory and practice in optoelectronics. Papers are solicited on the modeling, simulation, and analysis of optoelectronic devices including materials, fabrication, and application. Academic researchers, device engineers, and software developers are invited to discuss the advancement and the practical use of numerical tools in photonics and electronics.

Zusammenfassung: China International Optoelectronic Exposition (CIOE) was established in 1999 in Shenzhen. This annual event has been held annually for the past eleven years at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. The world's largest Optoelectronic expo, it has been an UFI-approved event since 2007.

The 12th CIOE (CIOE 2010) will once again be held at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, September 6 to 9, 2010 over a total exhibition area of 70,000sqm. It will comprise three concurrent sub-expositions, focus on optical communications, sensors, laser & infrared applications; precision optics; and LEDs. More than 2,000 exhibitors are expected to present the most advanced optoelectronic technologies and products at CIOE 2010.

Zusammenfassung: Following the successful Workshops in Peebles (1998), Santander (2004) and Napoli (2007) we at Porto have the privilege to organise the fourth edition of the European Workshop on Optical Fibre Sensors, EWOFS'2010. This initiative is aimed at promoting a scientific meeting with a high level of participants interaction that will enable the open debate and the assessment of new concepts, technologies and applications in the domain of optical fibre sensors, as well as the establishment of new collaborations and networks. EWOFS'2010 intends also to complement in time and geographical location the international conferences in this area, particularly the International Conference on Optical Fibre Sensors.

Zusammenfassung: The ALT Conference series, held annually since 1993, are focused on the recent achievements and advances in laser technology and laser applications in various areas. These series of conferences were founded by the General Physics Institute Moscow. The previous conferences were organized in Russia, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, France, Italy, Romania, Switzerland, United Kingdom, China, Hungary, Finland and Turkey.
