Zusammenfassung: The American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering hosted the 2008 Annual Event as a compelling forum highlighting and analyzing the impact of the global economy to the corporate and academic medical and biological engineering communities. This exciting and prestigious meeting of the minds featured highly respected industrial leaders, policy makers, and inspirational scientists and engineers from around the world, sharing their vision and discussing how their work is impacting health globally.

Zusammenfassung: The Annual Meeting is held each year in February or March. With over 6,000 attendees, the meeting is the largest gathering of biophysicists around the world. More than 3,000 abstracts are submitted each year, which are programmed into poster and platform sessions. The meeting includes Symposia, Workshops, Minisymposia, Subgroup programs, and the National Lecture, as well as Educational Exhibits, Exhibitor Presentations, and Committee Events.

Zusammenfassung: It is with great pleasure that I encourage and welcome you to attend the 35th Annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference at Harvard April 3rd (Friday) to April 5th (Sunday), 2009. Keeping with the strong tradition of the Northeast Bioengineering Conference, we promise to create a conference allowing for new friendships and the exchange of ideas concerning the latest efforts in bioengineering-related research.

Zusammenfassung: LiSSA 09 provides a forum where engineers can seek critical issues requiring sophisticated engineering techniques and scientists can find potential engineering collaborators. To facilitate this cross-disciplinary interaction, global leaders from academia, industry, and government will be invited to address challenges facing in this year s theme of nanomedicine (nanomedcenter.org) from both biomedicine and engineering perspectives.

Zusammenfassung: The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers, clinicians, students, and industry leaders to discuss current ideas and concepts in biomedical research. The 2009 Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference will be held May 15-17, 2009 in Miami, Florida. The program will include keynote lectures, presentations in diverse areas of biotechnology, and student competitions.

Even though this is primarily a regional conference, attendance from all regions of US and Latin America is strongly encouraged and welcomed. An important incentive of the Southern Biomedical Engineering Conference is that it is not as large as many of the international meetings, so that interactions between students and prominent biomedical engineers from many diverse fields are facilitated. These interactions are key to the field's continued development and advancement, and they provide an excellent platform for networking and exchanging ideas.

The deadline for submission of short abstracts will be January 15th, 2009.

Zusammenfassung: The Bioengineering Division of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers invites you to attend the 2009 Summer Bioengineering Conference which will be held in the spectacular Squaw Creek Resort, a majestic setting at the base of the mountain and minutes from the natural wonder of Lake Tahoe (www.squawcreek.com). An outstanding scientific program has been planned:

Symposia will include the “Mow 70th Birthday Symposium” to be held to honor Van Mow, PhD. This symposium will include sessions focusing on orthopaedic biomechanics, tissue mechanics, cartilage mechanics, constitutive modeling, and tissue engineering, and will recognize the substantial contributions of Dr. Mow to these research areas.

Zusammenfassung: The annual conference of EMBS averages 2000 attendees from over 50 countries. The scope of the conference is general in nature to focus on the interdisciplinary fields of biomedical engineering. Themes included but not limited to are: Imaging, Biosignals, Biorobotics, Bioinstrumentation, Neural, Rehabilitation, Bioinformatics, Healthcare IT, Medical Devices, etc
