Zusammenfassung: The conference is a forum for the discussion of the scientific, technical, social and regulatory aspects of the “back end” of the nuclear fuel cycle. These issues include waste generation, transportation, storage, treatment, disposal, and associated aspects (such as facility remediation, regulation, and stakeholder involvement). The conference is an opportunity for an exchange of information on current topics of interest among the international participants in nuclear-waste activities. The conference will appeal to an international audience as an opportunity to share information across programmatic, disciplinary, and international boundaries. Intended participants and audiences include personnel working on all aspects of irradiated fuel and HLW management such as: geologic waste-disposal systems, facility remediation systems, the governmental and private organizations using these systems, regulators, and those involved in scientific and societal issues related to policy questions for these systems. Conference participants are encouraged to focus their submissions (either as oral or poster presentations) on the theme of this conference.

Zusammenfassung: North American industry has employed major solvent-extraction processes to support a wide range of operations including but not limited to chemical, metallurgical and nuclear applications. In recognition of these activities, ISEC 1977 and ISEC 1984 were hosted in Toronto, Canada and Denver, Colorado, USA.

After 24 years, it is fitting that the leaders in solvent-extraction be hosted once again on this continent for the 18th International Solvent Extraction Conference, to be held in Tucson, Arizona from September 15 to 19, 2008.

Zusammenfassung: The TOFE meeting provides a forum for sharing the exciting progress made in fusion research as well as presenting the future plans for national and worldwide fusion programs.

Zusammenfassung: The conference will provide an international forum to present and discuss recent research in mathematical modeling and computing as applied to nuclear engineering and particle transport. This conference is part of a series of topical meetings organized by the Mathematics and Computation Division of the American Nuclear Society. The technical program will consist of plenary sessions, parallel oral presentation sessions and poster sessions. There will also be one or more workshops.

Zusammenfassung: The Meeting will cover a range of topics including the synthesis, analysis and uses of isotopes in pharmaceuticals, PET imaging, agrochemicals. metabolism and biology. There will also be four $1000 awards given to the top four student presentations involving Isotopes.
