Zusammenfassung	With macroscopic mechanical oscillators now firmly exhibiting quantum behavior, micro/nano-mechanics is the third technology - following optics and electronics - to enter the quantum regime. We anticipate that this exciting development will spark new ideas in quantum information, measurement science, and fundamental tests of physical laws. This meeting will provide a glimpse of the latest developments in this rapidly evolving activity. It will include the diversity of physical systems that display the quantum motion of mechanical oscillators, such as: small and large scale optomechanical structures, cold atomic clouds, electromechanical circuits, and hybrids of these systems. Topics to be addressed include (but are not limited to): applications for the newly developed quantum control over macroscopic mechanical oscillators, experimental and theoretical strategies for enhancing and quantum coherence, and fundamental tests enabled by quantum oscillators.
