Zusammenfassung: The primary objective of this international workshop is to bring together researchers of varying backgrounds working on connective tissue microstructure, physiology and function using magnetic resonance imaging techniques, and to provide a forum for communication among these diverse groups. The workshop will also provide an opportunity for participants to get updated on the current status of MR imaging, recent advances of its role in drug development and management of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Topics covered include an introduction to the state of the art of musculoskeletal imaging at multiple resolution scales, as well as pre-clinical and clinical applications, with particular emphasis on MRI and spectroscopy. Organ systems covered include cartilage, bone, inter-vertebral disc and muscle as well as matrix materials such as collagen, proteoglycans and synthetic and engineered biomaterials used for tissue repair.

The target audience includes radiologists, orthopaedists, rheumatologists, endocrinologists, biochemists, cell biologists, physiologists, bioengineers, and imaging scientists from a variety of disciplines in academia, pharmaceutical industry and government involved in musculoskeletal research.

Zusammenfassung: The The focus of this conference is to provide instruction in the routine and unique applications of ultrasound in the cancer patient. Presentations, both didactic and practical workshops, will cover a range of organ systems involving a variety of cancers with their respective diagnoses, management, complications and outcomes. Physicians and sonographers will also have an opportunity to participate in hands-on demonstrations on state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment, as well as to interact directly with the faculty.

Zusammenfassung: This one and one-half day workshop has been designed to review current aspects of colon cancer and colon cancer screening. The format for this course is hands-on training using workstations loaded with approximately 25-40 'endoscopically proven' data sets, chosen to include a mix of normals, abnormals and pitfalls. In addition to the hands-on experience, didactic lectures are included on patient preparation, data acquisition, current screening techniques, and how Virtual Colonoscopy fits in with overall patient management.

Zusammenfassung: 6-week Summer Workshop, which will provide training in multiple imaging modalities, MRI/DTI, functional MRI, PET, MEG/EEG, and optical imaging.

Neuroimaging techniques are capable of probing physiology and function at molecular, cellular and system levels, in animal models and humans. The MNTP teaches underlying principles of these neuroimaging methods, as well as their inherent limitations, applications, and modeling for integrative research. Methodologies include structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI, positron emission tomography, magnetoencephalography, and optical imaging.

Zusammenfassung: Neuroradiology: Practice to Innovation is designed for the practicing radiologist whose work involves Neuroradiology, or those involved in the neurological sciences, neurosurgery, neurology, and/ or related fields. It is intended to provide a practical discussion and review of common diseases involving the brain, head / neck, and spine. It will provide an overview of common imaging strategies and incorporate evolving new modalities. Also, this course will review common endovascular and spinal interventional techniques utilized in Neuroradiology.
