Zusammenfassung: This second annual San Francisco enterprise software development conference designed for team leads, architects and project management is back!

Zusammenfassung: We are pleased to announce the 16th Document Recognition and Retrieval Conference (DRR), to be held 21-22 January 2009, in San Jose, CA, USA. DRR is an international conference for state-of-the-art research in document recognition and retrieval, for offline, online and web documents. The conference is part of the Electronic Imaging Symposium, which brings together researchers from various backgrounds related to electronic imaging for an exciting research event. The conference will include oral/poster presentations, invited talks and invited papers. Accepted papers will be published in DRR Proceedings. Selected papers may be nominated for extension and submission to IJDAR. For the third year, the Best Student Paper will be selected among papers whose lead authors are full-time students. Zusammenfassung: The School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina is pleased to announce our second digital curation curriculum symposium. DigCCurr 2009: Digital Curation Practice, Promise and Prospects is part of the Preserving Access to Our Digital Future: Building an International Digital Curation Curriculum (DigCCurr) project. DigCCurr is a three-year (2006-2009), Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS)-funded collaboration between SILS and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The primary goals of the DigCCurr project are to develop a graduate-level curricular framework, course modules, and experiential components to prepare students for digital curation in various environments. DigCCurr initiatives in support of this goal are informed by representatives from the project’s collaborating institutions as well as an Advisory Board of experts from Australia, Canada, Italy, the Netherland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
