Mit den Technologien und Konzepten des Web 2.0 entstehen neue digitale Formen der Unterstützung und der partizipativen Entwicklung sozialer Netze. Social Software als neue Form von Kooperationssystemen schickt sich an, neue Formen der Zusammenarbeit in und außerhalb von Unternehmen zu ermöglichen. Der ökonomische Erfolg von Portalen wie XING / OpenBC, LinkedIn, Friendster, Orkut, StudiVZ oder Facebook macht den Bedarf nach solchen Lösungen deutlich, offenbart aber auch die Schwierigkeit ihrer korrekten ökonomischen Bewertung. Aus Sicht des Benutzers werden Fragen der Privatheit, des Datenschutzes und des Identitätsdiebstahls wichtig. Wer in mehreren Systemen angemeldet ist, wünscht sich Interoperabilität und Datenaustausch. Neben rein technologischen Fragen werden auch Themen medialer Präsenz in offenen und halboffenen Foren und soziologische Phänomene bedeutsam. Mit der flächendeckenden digitalen Verfügbarkeit menschlicher Kommunikationsakte auf diesen Plattformen entstehen neue Möglichkeiten der Analyse sozialer Netzwerke bis hin zur Vorhersage gesellschaftlicher Trends. |
