 Dates 27 Jul 2015 → 28 Jul 2015
[ID=668802] Haut de la page
 LieuSydney, Australie
 Résumé There is no doubt that the minerals produced through mining have been providing the basics for human civilisation, yet the legacy of the 20th century has been the production of billions of tonnes of mine waste and mill tailings. The mass mining concept as a viable approach for the foreseeable future is producing greater amounts of waste and mill tailings and this conference seeks to discuss alternatives to managing this in a more sustainable manner. This newly developed series is a golden opportunity for sharing innovative ideas and will provide numerous opportunities to network with consultants, engineers, industry representatives, regulators, researchers and academics to discuss state-of-the-art developments around the world. Conference delegates will take part in an extensive and focused technical program that will promote and encourage professional development. The conference seeks the submission of practical and applied case studies under a broad range of themes, with a particular emphasis on breakthrough projects. Collaborative submissions from multiple authors are encouraged.

7.Australian Mine Ventilation Conference 2015
 Dates 31 Aou 2015 → 02 Sep 2015
[ID=667307] Haut de la page
 LieuSydney, Australie
 Résumé  Ventilation controls form many of the core risk activities in mines. Significant developments in practice and research in recent years have helped ensure we maintain and improve levels of safety within our underground mining sector. The organising committee aims to provide an opportunity to present these developments so that the industry can benefit from this collective knowledge. As per the previous events, we will again call on expertise from industry and academia, to bring about the third in a series of ventilation conferences. The conference will bring operators, planning personnel, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, government regulators, consultants and research and technology personnel together to explore achievements’ and build a better industry. Consistent with the aims of The AusIMM, the conference enables members and industry to keep abreast of views on various aspects of mine ventilation and provide a forum to showcase technical and factual information within the minerals industry.

10.International Future Mining Conference 2015
 Dates 04 Nov 2015 → 06 Nov 2015
[ID=664051] Haut de la page
 LieuSydney, Australie
 Résumé The Third Future Mining Conference 2015 will address innovations and opportunities to transfer scientific and technological developments from other disciplines into the minerals industry. It will examine the human factors and skill needs for the future operations, identify possible blue sky scenarios of Mining in the Future, strategies of mining education and research, novel mining systems and future commodities and directions. Furthermore, the Second Off-Earth Mining Forum will be held as a post-conference event on 6 November 2015. The conference will provide a forum for communication industry leaders as well as industry partners including scientists, engineers, executives, investors, government representatives, academics and other stakeholders. The 2nd Off-Earth Mining Forum will take place immediately following the Future Mining Conference. The traditional way to do business in space has been to provide communications, remote sensing or satellite navigation services. As new markets emerge in space tourism, commercial launch, and low-cost space platforms, it is becoming increasingly attractive to use space resources "in-situ", i.e. to extract resources from space (asteroids, the moon, Mars) for use in space. Pursuing that aim provides a wide range of opportunities for researchers, developers and investors. The forum will host speakers from across the spectrum of off-earth mining issues: missions, resources, mining technologies, robotics, automation, instrumentation, legal impediments, business risks, and ethical considerations.
