Résumé: We are very pleased to invite you to attend the 5th ISMOM and 2nd Interconference Commission 2.5 IUSS - 2008 organized by the Working Group MO “Interactions of Soil Minerals with Organic Components and Microorganisms” of the International Union of Soil Sciences, now Commission 2.5:Soil Physical/Chemical/Biological Interfacial Interactions. The meeting is to be held in Pucón, Southern Chile , on November 24-29, 2008, in spring time.

Résumé: The objective of this symposium is to provide a forum for the interactions of environmental chemists and mineralogists, environmental microbiologists, ecologists, toxicologists and soil scientists to address the current state-of-the-art and identify gaps in knowledge on physicochemical and biological interfacial interactions at the molecular level at the soil-root interface (the rhizosphere) pertaining to the dynamics, transformations, bioavailability, and toxicity of metals, metalloids, anthropogenic organics, and vital elements.

Résumé: Die FDA modernisiert mit den Initiativen „Risk Based Approach“, „CAPA“, „Quality Systems Inspection Technique“ und „Pharmaceutical Inspectorate“ grundlegend ihre Strategien, Sichtweisen und Vorgehensweisen. Diese Entwicklungen haben die Inspektionspraxis sowohl bei Pre-Approval-Inspektionen als auch bei Routine-Inspektionen deutlich gewandelt. Das ist für alle FDA-inspizierten Firmen wichtig, denn Inspektionen der US-amerikanischen FDA stellen immer noch eine besondere Herausforderung für europäische Unternehmen dar. Für die Betriebe ist es unumgänglich, die charakteristischen Merkmale und Besonderheiten von heutigen FDA-Inspektionen zu kennen, um sich zielgerichtet vorbereiten zu können und im Verlauf der Inspektion sicher und clever aufzutreten. Dem direkten Umgang mit den Inspektoren kommt dabei erfahrungsgemäss eine hohe Bedeutung zu. Die Compliance-Inhalte müssen optimal auf die aktuellen Erwartungen hin ausgerichtet und präsentiert werden. Natürlich sind auch die bereits seit langem bedeutsamen Themen wichtig, darunter die Aufgaben und die Organisation der „Quality Control Unit“, Doppelunterschriften und die besonderen Anforderungen an die Ausgabe, das Ausfüllen und den Review von Batch Records. Dadurch bekommen FDA-Inspektionen immer noch ihren besonderen „Touch“.

Résumé: ANA World Conference – 2009 on “Animal Nutrition: Preparedness to Combat Challenges” is being organized by Animal Nutrition Association (ANA), India in collaboration with Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, International Livestock Research Institute, Addis Ababa, and Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar.

Globally, future livestock production is threatened by climate change, land degradation, water pollution and above all feed shortages. These factors have put forward challenges for the livestock researchers and farmers to produce more from less in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner. Therefore, the efforts to combat challenges of livestock production are concentrated around animal nutritionists, rumen microbiologists, feed technologists, physiologists, biotechnologists, management personnel, health scientists and extension workers.

There Conference will comprise of 03 plenary sessions and 08 symposia covering topics related to feed resources, farming system, livestock production, biotechnology and other related areas. Besides there will be 03 Round Tables on topics of current interest.

Résumé: The TRACE 5 th Conference Scientific Program will consist of oral contributions and poster presentations on the TRACE project as well as external contributions on the food traceability and authenticity theme. The conference includes the Isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS)-workshop ‘Analytical and technical aspects of the d 18 O-determination of organic substances’ and the session ‘Traceability systems now and in future‘ with invited speakers.

Résumé: Total Food 2009 is the third in a series of biennial international conferences which focus on the sustainable exploitation of agri-food co-products and related biomass, thereby helping to minimise waste.
