Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach (MFO, Oberwolfach Research Institute for Mathematics)

This conference will focus on the deep and beautiful interactions between Analysis and Homotopy Theory, that is, the emergence and useful application of homotopy-theoretic methods in Analysis as well as the analytical approaches to problems in Algebraic Topology. We aim to celebrate specifically the fantastic development of K-theory and Index Theory. This started primarily as a field in Analysis more than 50 years ago and has obtained spectacular applications over the years by gradually involving more of the ideas and methods of Algebraic Topology, Operator Algebras, and Homotopy Theory. This combination of ideas, methods, and applications has shown a deep impact on further fields.

The Young Topologists Meeting (YTM) is an annual international conference aimed at early-career researchers in topology - both pure and applied - covering the whole breadth of the subject. It serves as a platform for graduate, PhD students, and early postdocs to present their research, exchange ideas, and build international connections. Previous editions of the conference have been organized by the EPFL, Switzerland, the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and jointly by the University of Stockholm and the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. Next up: Münster, Germany.

Analytic questions of a discrete nature are ubiquitous in many areas of mathematics and theoretical computer science. The purpose of this conference is to bring together a diverse group of experts working, broadly, on Discrete Analysis with particular emphasis on questions having a geometric component. The topics will include Boolean analysis, vector-valued harmonic analysis, metric embeddings, geometry of graphs and groups, and aspects of discrete probability and theoretical computer science.
