Résumé: IEEE Israel Section was established on October 5 th , 1954 when the state was only 6 years old. Our section is the oldest section in Region 8, which covers Europe, Middle East and Africa. IEEE Israel Section currently has more than 1300 members, which are active in 15 professional groups (chapters).

The section holds a highly respected biannual convention and many other conventions, conferences, courses, meetings and lectures. We publish a Newsletter that contains a description of most of the activities. We are currently seeking volunteers to establish new professional chapters.

The Section holds an annual general meeting of all its members and holds elections every even year via mail.

Résumé: This 3-day course focuses on the practical design and development of modern radio frequency (RF) and wireless communications circuits and systems using common digital modulation standards. In today’s ultra-competitive global wireless industry, the design-to-production cycle is of crucial importance. However, developing modern wireless products, such as 3G cellular telephones, Wi-Fi and WiMAX systems, presents many challenges.
