Résumé: Dubbed as Asia’s prestigious and most comprehensive power event, the 13th Annual Power and Electricity World Asia 2010 is where top level issues are addressed by business leaders and regulators across the region. This is the most influential platform where industry stakeholders gather annually to identify business opportunities, discuss viable investment models and seal profitable partnerships.

Résumé: The PNIC on Global Nuclear Security is sponsored by the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management(Offsite link) and the Eastern Washington Section of the American Nuclear Society(Offsite link). The purpose of the conference is to foster an exchange of information in nuclear nonproliferation, security, safeguards, and international engagement and cooperation. The conference is particularly timely considering the 2010 NPT Review Conference process, current challenges to the international safeguards regime, and renewed effort toward disarmament.

Résumé: The world community, and not least Europe, is confronted with converging crises, economic, environmental, employment and social. Energy – its availability at acceptable economic and environmental cost, and with the prospect of sustainability – is a key factor in confronting these crises. Given these circumstances, four leading European scientific organisations are committed to a synergetic engagement to evaluate and promote European research and technology competence in the energy field. Fundamental research of course must be structured for application, so that through engineering practice it can fulfil the requirements of society. The first European Energy Conference will not be an isolated event; it launches an ongoing forum of Communication and cooperation promoting energy-related research.

Résumé: Beginning with ENC-1 in Paris in 1975, ENS has shaped these traditional four-yearly European Nuclear Conferences into a unique combination of the world's major nuclear science & industry trade fair coupled with the largest international nuclear congress. From the start, the American Nuclear Society was a partner in the conferences, being joined later by other major nuclear organisations. The ENCs have become the meeting point of the world's nuclear community.

Seminar Aktivierungsanalyse und Gammaspektroskopie (SAAGAS). Résumé: PATRAM 2010 is the 16th International Symposium on the Packaging and Transport of Radioactive Materials.

The course comprises a mixture of lectures and practical sessions, where opportunity will be given for constructing Code models for specified problems, checking the input specifications and performing full.

Résumé: The current WIMS9A Code is the latest generation of this internationally known code and as such combines all the reactor physics methods (both deterministic and Monte Carlo). This course is aimed at providing the new or inexperienced user of the Code with a broad understanding of the capabilities of the Code and hands-on experience of constructing input specifications.
