Résumé: Um den fachlichen und wissenschaftlichen Gedankenaustausch unter ihren Mitgliedern zu fördern, ist die Lebensmittelchemische Gesellschaft in Regionalverbände gegliedert, die in regelmäßigen Abständen wissenschaftliche Vortragsveranstaltungen durchführen.

Résumé: Chemikalienleasing heißt ein Geschäftsmodell, bei dem Substanzen nicht mehr bloß verkauft, sondern zur Verfügung gestellt, optimal angewendet und anschließend vom Anbieter auch wieder zurückgenommen werden. Gegenstand des Modells ist damit nicht die Bereitstellung einer Chemikalie, sondern die Erbringung einer Dienstleistung unter Einsatz von Chemikalien. Damit liegt es sowohl im Interesse des Nutzers als auch des Anbieters, die Chemikalien mit der höchstmöglichen Effizienz zu nutzen.. Dieses Verhalten soll zu einer Verminderung des Chemikalieneinsatzes führen, Kosten sparen und dabei gleichzeitig Ressourcen schonen. Résumé: As a man-made hazard affecting limited natural resources in specific locales as much as the atmosphere at large, spontaneous coal seam fires are a delicate object of scientific research. Their very complex nature responds to a whole range of disciplines and necessitates a concerted interdisciplinary and international effort for effective mitigation. The repercussions of the phenomenon spread right into the realm of society and politics.

The Second International Conference on Coal Fire Research (ICCFR2) aims to provide the background knowledge for successful coal fire detection, modeling and environmental assessment. Targeting a problem of global concern, these approaches require sound scientific handling and expertise; ICCFR2, hence, will rally the international vanguard of coal fire research. Contributions from all disciplines and professions are welcome: from geo- and material scientists, remote sensing specialists, physicists and fire fighting engineers to economists and policy-makers. Das Vortragsprogramm wird den regionalen Wandel der Chemischen Industrie in den vergangenen 20 Jahren und einen Überblick über wichtige Trends in der Chemie aufzeigen. Dies ist eine Veranstaltung der Seniorexperten Chemie, die eine Plattform für Netzwerkaktivitäten darstellt, für Senioren untereinander, aber auch für junge Forscher und alle an Chemie interessierten Personen unabhängig von ihrer Altersstruktur.

Résumé: The 3rd EuCheMS Chemistry Congress in Nürnberg (Nuremberg) 2010 will present the latest research in the core topic areas of chemistry, feature multidisciplinary programming, and highlight chemistry‘s impact on society. The Congress will bring together chemical and molecular scientists from industry, academia and government institutions across Europe and from around the world. The vendor exhibition will include leading companies showing their latest innovations in chemistry and related fields.

This Congress is organised under the auspices of the EuCheMS, the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences, which has 50 member societies in total representing 150.000 individual chemists; the German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker, GDCh) is the host society for the Congress.
