Résumé: We will be excited to host you in Bologna, the hometown of Guglielmo Marconi, for the next edition of the International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications. ISSSTA 2008 will focus on the latest advances in wideband technologies, spread spectrum techniques, OFDM, MIMO, and Ultra Wideband (UWB), for both communications and navigation.

Résumé: This conference provides a forum for the latest UWB systems, technologies and applications in both microwave and millimeter wave bands.

Résumé: The IEEE International Symposium on Wireless Vehicular Communications (WiVeC) will cover all vehicular wireless communications aspects of Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) and Vehicle-to-Person (V2P) communications, including implications on transport efficiency and safety, implications on automotive electronics, liability issues, standardizations efforts and spectrum assignment.

The Forty-Sixth Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing will be held from Wednesday, September 24 through Friday, September 26, 2008, at the Allerton House, the conference center of the University of Illinois.

Résumé: Der IuK-Sektor zählt sowohl in seinen industriellen als auch dienstleistenden Sparten zu den forschungsintensivsten. Deutschland wird in den nächsten Jahren weiter in den IuK-Technologien investieren. In der IuK-Wirtschaft vereinigen sich sowohl technologische Spitzenprodukte mit hohen Anforderungen an das Innovationspotenzial als auch standardisierte Massenprodukte. Im internationalen Wettbewerb geht es hier ausschließlich um Preis- und Kostenvorteile. Dazu brauchen wir gut ausgebildete Ingenieure und müssen das vorhandene IuK-Potential mit anderen Technologiefeldern fusio-nieren.

Die 19. IWKM möchte mit ihrem Themenspektrum einen Beitrag zur Lösung dieser komplexen und disziplinübergreifenden Aufgabenstellung leisten. Während des Zusammentreffens von Praxispartnern, Interessenten und Hochschullehrern inner-halb der Konferenz, sollen die interdisziplinären Forschungsfelder weiter vorange-trieben und neue Impulse erzeugt werden.

Das breitgefächerte Angebot unserer Konferenz umfasst u.a. Industriesteuerung, Kommunikationstechnik, Embedded Systems als auch E-Learning.

Résumé: NTMS’2008 is the second International Conference on New Technologies, Mobility and Security that will be held from 5 to 7 November, 2008 in TANGIER, MOROCCO. NTMS'2008 conference is technically co-sponsored by IFIP.

NTMS'2008 aims at fostering advances in the areas of New Technologies, Wireless Networks, Mobile Computing, Ad hoc and Ambient Networks, QoS, Network Security and E-commerce, to mention a few, and provides a dynamic forum for researchers, students and professionals to present their state-of-the-art research and development in these interesting areas. The event will be combined with tutorial sessions and workshops. Tutorials will precede the main program, aiming at the dissemination of mature knowledge and technology advances in the field. Two or more Workshops will immediately follow the main conference, offering the opportunity for a more focused exchange of ideas and presentation of on-going research relevant to selected topics.

Résumé: Wideband and ultrawideband systems have undergone rapid progress in recent years, graduating from the academic research stage to products and applications for the consumer electronics, defence and other markets. We invite original contributions on innovations that will define the future direction for wideband and ultrawideband systems. This includes both theory and applications in areas such as communications, localization, radar, and imaging.

Suggested topics include, but are limited to, the following in the context of wideband technology.

* Multi-antenna and multi-user systems

* Multi-carrier techniques and applications

* Detect-and-avoid and cognitive radio approaches

* Dynamic spectrum sensing and allocation

* Interference, coexistence and electromagnetic compatibility issues

* Distributed processing, sensing and learning
