Résumé: The IADIS Mobile Learning 2010 International Conference seeks to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of mobile learning research which provides a retrospective outlook of the field.

Résumé: CSEDU 2010 (the International Conference on Computer Supported Education) aims at becoming a yearly meeting place for presenting and discussing new educational environments, best practices and case studies on innovative technology-based learning strategies, institutional policies on computer supported education including open and distance education, using computers. In particular, the Web is currently a preferred medium for distance learning and the learning practice in this context is usually referred to as e-learning. CSEDU-2010 is expected to give an overview of the state of the art as well as upcoming trends, and to promote discussion about the pedagogical potential of new learning and educational technologies in the academic and corporate world.

Résumé: The conference has two main themes: the challenge of building quality connections and the boundless possibilities available to educators, through open, flexible and distance learning. The key question explored across both themes–relevant to all education sectors—is how do the new places, spaces and tools of learning enhance outcomes and opportunities for learners? Résumé: The 3rd international conference »eLearning Baltics« (eLBa) 2010 will again bring together researchers, practitioners and scientists, people using eLearning products and services as well as people producing them.

eLBa 2010 will cover different aspects of teaching and learning with digital media in various settings such as classroom, university, workplace, home or mobile environments. The conference accepts submissions in the following seven main areas: Organisational Strategy and Management Issues; Technological Issues; e-Learning Curriculum Development Issues; Instructional Design Issues; e-Learning Delivery Issues; e-Learning Research Methods and Approaches; e-Skills and Information Literacy for Learning.

Résumé: DET 2010 focuses on creative solutions on distance education. It combines several advanced topics on design, implementation, and applications of E-learning systems. Submissions may cover novel approaches on distance learning tools, communication mechanisms, distance learning and culture, new educational technologies, distance learning and the arts, and so on. Our special attention will be devoted to intelligent tools in various distance education systems.

Résumé: Nowadays, with all the advancement of technology and speed of communication and processing power, a lot of schools might not be making the grade. Children in schools are more and more capable of chasing knowledge on their own that the teaching profession is rapidly becoming more guidance than instruction. The days of classical teaching are rapidly giving way to the overflow of information hitting our students from all sides. Teachers might soon become guides to these brilliant minds seeking information that they willingly want to pursue. Grades are also on their way to become inaccurate assessments of a student’s knowledge and performance.
