NISS est une conférence internationale axée sur les divers aspects des progrès dans les systèmes intelligents, la sécurité et les technologies de réseau. L'objectif principal de NISS est d'améliorer nos recherches en atteignant la plus haute capacité et d'encourager les discussions ouvertes sur les récents progrès dans les communications informatiques et les technologies de l'information. Les auteurs sont invités à soumettre des manuscrits originaux inédits démontrant les récents progrès dans les communications informatiques, les réseaux sans fil/mobiles, les systèmes d'information, les systèmes intelligents et la sécurité, tant dans les aspects théoriques que pratiques.

The bwInfoSec federation gathers information security representatives from the universities and academic colleges in the state of Baden-Württemberg. They aim for joint efforts to ensure and improve the information security organization at these institutions. One branch of bwInfoSec bundles the universities. At this meeting, CISOs from the universities of Baden-Württemberg and stakeholders from the bwInfoSec steering group will come together to elaborate on strategic, tactical and operational topics of information security that are relevant for today’s higher-education institutions.

Rapid proliferation of computing and communication systems with increasing computational power and connectivity into every sphere of modern life has brought security to the forefront of system design, test, and validation processes. The emergence of new application spaces for these systems in the internet-of-things (IoT) regime is creating new attack surfaces as well as new requirements for secure and trusted system operation. Additionally, the design, manufacturing and the distribution of microchip, PCB, as well as other electronic components are becoming more sophisticated and globally distributed with a number of potential security vulnerabilities. Therefore, hardware plays an increasingly important and integral role in system security with many emerging system and application vulnerabilities and defense mechanisms relating to hardware.

Die entwickler.de Akademie präsentiert im Rahmen des Software Architecture Camps Advanced erstmals das Modul WEBSEC vom 13. - 15. Mai in München. In diesem Intensivtraining mit dem Experten Adrian Metzner geht es um die Frage, was „Security“ bedeutet und wie sich diese in eigene Analyse- und Entwicklungsprozesse integrieren lässt. Das Trainingsevent richtet sich an Software-Achitekt:innen.

Der Bezug auf Webanwendungen, Informationssysteme oder Embedded Systems grenzt den Themenschwerpunkt ein und stellt sicher, dass die relevanten Informationen für die Sicherheit der jeweiligen Systeme vermittelt werden. Der Lehrplan fokussiert sich auf folgende Themen:

Since the invention of the World Wide Web in 1989, The Web Conference (formerly known as International World Wide Web Conference, abbreviated as WWW) is a yearly international academic conference on the topic of the future direction of the World Wide Web. Code-based cryptography is the area of research that focuses on the study of cryptosystems based on error-correcting codes, following the seminal work of McEliece and Niederreiter in the late 1970s - early 1980s. These systems have shown no vulnerabilities to quantum attackers and this research branch is widely regarded as one of the most promising in the so-called area of Post-Quantum Cryptography. Current efforts in code-based cryptography are directed at producing fast, secure and efficient schemes. Research in this area has also been fostered by the recent NIST's Post-Quantum Standardization call. The goal of this two-day event is to promote this research area to an increasingly larger audience. Besides bringing together the existing community, in fact, CBCrypto aims at providing an opportunity to extend the range of participation to researchers approaching this area for the first time, or simply interested in knowing more about it. The program includes invited talks, contributed talks and dedicated discussion sessions.

With rapid global penetration of the Internet and smart phones and the resulting productivity and social gains, the world is becoming increasingly dependent on its cyber infrastructure. Criminals, spies and predators of all kinds have learnt to exploit this landscape much quicker than defenders have advanced in their technologies. Security and Privacy has become an essential concern of applications and systems throughout their lifecycle. Security concerns have rapidly moved up the software stack as the Internet and web have matured. The security, privacy, functionality, cost and usability tradeoffs necessary in any practical system can only be effectively achieved at the data and application layers. This new conference provides a dedicated venue for high-quality research in this arena, and seeks to foster a community with this focus in cyber security.

Africacrypt is an annual International Conference on the Theory and Applications of Cryptology. Africacrypt is a major scientific event that seeks to advance and promote the field of cryptology on the African continent. The conference has systematically drawn some excellent contributions to the field, and has seen many renowned researchers deliver keynote presentations. The conference has always been organized in cooperation with the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR).

The USENIX WOOT Conference aims to present a broad picture of offense and its contributions, bringing together researchers and practitioners across all areas of computer security. Offensive security has changed from a hobby to an industry. No longer an exercise for isolated enthusiasts, offensive security is today a large-scale operation managed by organized, capitalized actors. Meanwhile, the landscape has shifted: software used by millions is built by startups less than a year old, delivered on mobile phones, and surveilled by national signals intelligence agencies. In the field's infancy, offensive security research was conducted separately by industry, independent hackers, or in academia. Collaboration between these groups was difficult.

The 6th International Conference on Science of Cyber Security (SciSec 2024) will be held 14-16 August, 2024 in Copenhagen, Danmark. The conference is organized by the Technical University of Denmark(DTU). This new forum was initiated in 2018 and aims to catalyze the research collaborations between the relevant communities and disciplines that can work together to deepen our understanding of, and build a firm foundation for, the emerging Science of Cyber Security. Publications in this venue would distinguish themselves from others by taking or thinking from a holistic perspective about cyber security, rather than a building-block perspective. Each submission will be reviewed by at least 3 reviewers. The program committee plans to select and award a Best Paper and a Best Student Paper.

The Quantum Morocco Conference lands at the Middle Atlas Mountains. Building on the success of the first edition , Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane will host the second edition from the 14th to the 25th of October, 2024. The event is graciously funded by the NATO Science for Peace and Security Programme. The major theme of the conference will be “Cybersecurity in the era of quantum computing: threats and challenges”.

Zero-knowledge proofs are powerful privacy-preserving tools, which are widely used in the financial applications, especially in the field of financial cryptography. Multiple existing zero-knowledge proof protocols, such as Pinocchio, Groth16, PLONK, are developed using high-level programming languages like C++, Java, Python, Rust, etc. However, these protocols cannot directly apply to the computational problems to be proved and verified, since the computational problems first need to be transformed into the correct formats, such as Algebraic Circuit, R1CS and QAP, that are not directly programmable. Therefore, zero-knowledge proof compiler needs to be designed to compile the problem to be proved/verified based on a high-level language into a format that can be handled by zero-knowledge proof protocols such as arithmetic circuits. Existing such compilers include circom2, snarky, jsanrk, franklin-crypto, xJsnark, etc. However, they have more or less disadvantages of poor versatility or low efficiency. Hence, we need more general and efficient zero-knowledge proof compilers.
