Résumé: WMSCI 2009 is an international forum for scientists and engineers, researchers and consultants, theoreticians and practitioners in the fields of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics. The forum focuses into specific disciplinary research, and also in multi, inter, and trans-disciplinary studies and projects. One of its aims is to relate disciplines, fostering analogical thinking and, hence, producing input to the logical thinking.

Résumé: Since 1994, IWQoS has served as the prime annual workshop on Quality of Service, providing an international forum for the presentation and discussion of cutting edge research in the field. Building on the success of previous workshops, the objective of the workshop is to bring together researchers, developers, and practitioners working in this area to discuss recent and innovative results, and to identify future directions and challenges in developing practical computer / communication systems where predictable, controlled, and robust performance is a central requirement. IWQoS has a long standing tradition of being highly interactive, while maintaining highest standards of competitiveness and excellence. The scope of the workshop covers the main and currently important aspects of QoS research, including related issues such as availability, reliability, security, pricing, resource management, and performance guarantees.

Résumé: The 2009 multi-conference (MULTICONF-09) in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, computational science, control and automation technology will be held during July 13-16, 2009 in Orlando, FL, USA.
The primary goal of the MULTICONF is to promote research and developmental activities in computer science, information technology, control engineering, and related fields. Another goal is to promote the dissemination of research to a multidisciplinary audience and to facilitate communication among researchers, developers, practitioners in different fields.

The conference addresses not only compression methods for specific types of data (text, images, video, audio, medical, scientific, space, graphics, web content, etc.), but also the use of techniques from information theory and data compression in networking, communications, and storage applications involving large data sets (including image and information mining, retrieval, archiving, backup, communications, and HCI).
