Résumé: The Winter Simulation Conference (WSC) is the premier international forum for disseminating recent advances in the field of system simulation. In addition to a technical program of unsurpassed scope and quality, WSC provides the central meeting place for simulation practitioners, researchers, and vendors working in all disciplines and in the industrial, governmental, military, and academic sectors.

Résumé: HICSS-42 offers a unique, highly interactive and professionally challenging environment that attendees find "very helpful -- lots of different perspectives and ideas as a result of discussion." HICSS sessions are comprised primarily of refereed paper presentations; the conference does not host vendor presentations.

The conference operation is funded entirely by registration fees; therefore, HICSS is not able to subsidize registrations or offer reduced fees, nor partial registration. All participants and speakers (or their organizations) are expected to bear the cost of their expenses and registration.

Résumé: Provenance, or meta-information about computations, computer systems, database queries, scientific workflows, and so on, is emerging as a central issue in a number of disciplines. The TaPP workshop continues an informal series of workshops on Principles of Provenance organized in 2007–2008, which helped raise the profile of this area within diverse research communities, such as databases, security, and programming languages. We hope both to attract serious cross-disciplinary, foundational, and highly speculative research and to facilitate needed interaction with the broader systems community and with industry.

Résumé: Plan now to join us for five days of speaker presentations, professional education courses, exhibits and special events as we examine recent developments in the design and use of digital avionics systems. Central to modern implementation of both military and commercial digital avionics architectures are Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA). We take this as our theme for the conference this year 'Integrated Modular Avionics Is the Modern Approach.'
