Résumé: The Technical Conference of the Society of Vacuum Coaters is a forum for the interchange of information between those engaged in the use and development of vacuum coatings for large- and small-scale applications. Presentations will be made in technical sessions on the following topics: Symposium on Cleantech Energy Conversion and Storage, Hot Topic Session on “High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HIPIMS),” and a Joint Session on “Atmospheric Plasma Technologies.” Other technical ses-sions cover Vacuum Processes and Coatings for Health Care Applications, Optical Coating, Vacuum Web Coating, Tribological & Decorative Coating, Plasma Processing, Process Modeling and Control, Large Area Coating, and Emerging Technologies. The Heuréka! Post Deadline Evening session allows presen-tations to be made on new research achievements, and recent developments for new applications. The Vendor Innovators Showcase and Live Product Demos will be presented by vendors on new products and services in the Exhibit Hall. The popular Poster Session and Exhibit take place on May 11—12, 2009. In addition the Technology Forum Breakfast topics, “Meet the Experts” Corner, and the Donald M.
