Aortic Summit 2019
31 Oct 2019 - 02 Nov 2019 • Lugano, Switzerland
Abstract:
Aortic Summit is an exceptional aortic meeting with a focus on aortic arch – the Lugano 2019 AORTIC Summit – in an entirely new format to intensify knowledge upon aortic pathology and its various treatment modalities being available today. This summit is a practical and logical consequence of the consensus paper on the Aortic Arch, which was a common achievement by both scientific societies ESVS and EACTS. Understanding the disease forms the basis, being familiar with the treatment options available enlarges the armamentarium and being able to implement them into clinical practice gives the freedom and the flexibility to offer sustainable personalized solutions to treat patients with acute and chronic thoracic aortic pathology in an aortic team.

During this course, you will be taken on a journey through the aortic arch and its major branches sharing expertise with a world-renown faculty and have the opportunity to practice during numerous workshops addressing both open surgery and endovascular therapy.
