The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) fosters an exchange of information on factors impacting operational safety performance of nuclear power plants in areas such as: leadership and safety culture, safe and efficient transitioning from construction to operations for new units, corporate management and oversight, operational safety peer review findings, the role of operating experience and performance improvement activities and developments in the area of life time extensions. Specifically, the conference will allow representatives of nuclear operators, regulators, technical support organisations, construction companies and other like-minded organisations, to learn from each other’s experiences in the safe, efficient and reliable operation of nuclear power plants worldwide.
