6th Homburger Neuroendoscopy Week
11 Sep 2017 - 15 Sep 2017 • Homburg-Saar, Germany
The workshop is divided into two modules, involving intracranial endoscopy (Module1) and endoscopic spine surgery (Module2). We will provide comprehensive lectures, interesting live surgery cases and hands-on-lessons on animal models and human cadavers. The lectures will cover indications, surgical techniques and equipment selection as well as personal experiences and pitfalls. Live surgery transmitted from the operation room will demonstrate endoscopic approaches - step by step. Additionally hands-on workshops will provide demonstrations of neuroendoscopic techniques as well as time to enhance your own surgical skills on cadavers and animal models. As before a selected variety of innovate neurosurgical products will be presented in the accompanying industrial exhibition.

Adult Neurogenesis 2018
02 May 2018 - 04 May 2018 • Dresden, Germany
Adult neurogenesis is distinct from embryonic forms of neurogenesis in that neuronal development underlies extrinsic regulation, from physiological to pathological. This regulation targets different stages of neuronal development, between cell cycle entry and proliferation of radial glia-like stem cells to the lasting integration of the newly generated neurons. There are obvious feedback loops in that regulation of neurogenesis might alter behavior, which in turn acts back on adult neurogenesis. But how does this all work? How does regulation occur across scales? What constitutes ‘causes’ and ‘mechanisms’ in such complex system? The 2018 Adult neurogenesis meeting uses these key questions as entry point into discussions about how activity and development are linked in adult neurogenesis.
