We are putting together, in collaboration with our fantastic Scientific Committee, a high-quality program with renowned international speakers and experts in the field of Hodgkin lymphoma. We will have two and a half days dedicated to ten main Session Topics, who are now open for abstract submission. We will have interactive case discussions as an opener of most session topics. High-level poster presentations will have the opportunity to advertise their poster via poster pitches in the respective main sessions. One of the highlights will be the awarding of the Günther-Schellong-Price, which will be conferred for the third time. The Scientific Symposium will close with the Abstract Award Session. It is our utmost pleasure to serve again with a major symposium for this great global network for advancing the science and development of standards of care for children, adolescents and young adults with Hodgkin lymphoma. Thus, your attendance at the symposium, will contribute for this well-established network to continue, and you will have the chance to experience the spirit and the action that this great collaboration enables in providing long-lasting cures for all children, adolescents and young adults with Hodgkin lymphoma.

MGG / MDCV 2020 — 3. Gemeinsame Jahrestagung der Mitteldeutschen Gesellschaft für Gastroenterologie und der Mitteldeutschen Chirurgenvereinigung mit dem 3. Mitteldeutschen Pflegesymposium und 9. Symposium Junge Chirurgen in Mitteldeutschland
05 Jun 2020 - 06 Jun 2020 • Dresden, Germany
Abstract:

3rd International Expert Meeting for the Treatment of Cholangiocarcinoma
11 Jun 2020 - 13 Jun 2020 • Mainz, Germany
Organizer:
wikonect GmbH
Abstract:
The management of cholangiocarcinoma remains a major challenge. With the establishment of modern surgical, interventional and systemic treatment options over the last few years, the treatment of cholangiocarcinoma more than ever requires an interdisciplinary approach and open dialogue. Therefore, the 3rd International Expert Meeting in Mainz will bring together renowned specialists in the field of surgery, medical oncology, pathology, endoscopy, diagnostic and interventional radiology as well as radiotherapy. Experts from all around the world will meet in Mainz for an intensive two-day discussion on diverse aspects of cholangiocarcinoma. The program 2020 comprises most relevant topics and critical issues on the diagnosis and management of intrahepatic, perihilar as well as distal cholangiocarcinoma: as observed in other cancer types, molecular profiling has started to gain increasing relevance in the treatment of advanced cholangiocarcinoma. Moreover, novel diagnostic approaches as well as tools for local therapy have been developed, which require particular attention. Furthermore, controversies on the optimal preoperative work-up including biliary drainage as well as potential indications for neoadjuvant and adjuvant targeted therapy will be major topics. Also, IgG4-associated cholangitis and Klatskin-mimicking lesions that are still highly difficult differential diagnoses and pose major therapeutical problems will be highlighted. Finally, operative techniques, pitfalls in surgery and surgical strategies are presented focusing on vascular resection, the laparoscopic and robotic approach as well as ALPPS.

Imaging Cancer: Gaining insights from cells to organisms
07 Sep 2020 - 09 Sep 2020 • Berlin, Germany
Organizer:
European Association for Cancer Research & European Society of Oncologic Imaging
Abstract:
This new conference is organised by the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) and the European Society of Oncologic Imaging (ESOI).Our ability to understand and treat cancer is critically dependent upon imaging. This meeting will bring together imaging experts in both clinical and basic research arenas to present their latest research and discuss how to integrate understanding across length scales, imaging modalities, and cancer types. Improved clinical imaging has the power to transform the detection and biologic characterisation of early lesions and the identification of those patients with more advanced disease for tailoring and monitoring personalised therapies. Further, the development of new therapies depends on improved understanding of cancer biology; small animal imaging and imaging tumours with cellular and sub-cellular resolution can elucidate heterogeneity in cancer cell state and interactions with stromal cells, which provide new opportunities for therapeutic intervention. This conference is aimed at clinical and experimental cancer researchers working with, or interested in, the broad range of imaging modalities including US and photoacoustic, CT and micro CT, MRI, PET/CT and PET/MR hybrid imaging, as well as optical techniques. Data analysts dealing with imaging data science using deep learning/machine learning, are also explicitly encouraged to attend.

EMBL Course: Liquid Biopsies
14 Sep 2020 - 19 Sep 2020 • Heidelberg, Germany
Abstract:
Liquid biopsies have the advantage of being largely non-invasive and providing a vast amount of information for the detection and monitoring of diseases such as cancer. This course will provide hands-on experience in the several techniques to detect and analyse circulating tumor cells (CTCs), cell free tumor DNA (ctDNA) and proteins. Participants will have the opportunity to learn all aspects ranging from proper sampling through error free sequencing to data analysis. Lectures will also cover extracellular vesicles and clinical aspects using liquid biopsies, especially in the field of cancer diagnostics.
