Future Soldier Technology 2019
11 Mar 2018 - 13 Mar 2019 • London, United Kingdom
Abstract:
Soldier modernisation programmes continue to be critically important for enhancing capabilities in dismounted infantry operations around the world. As the modern-day soldier is expected to operate in diverse and challenging environments – from artic to urban landscapes – developing technologies and capabilities that enable soldiers to survive and thrive has never been more crucial. As the only conference exclusively focused on Future Soldier Programmes around the world, Future Soldier Technology 2019 will bring together more than 200 operational users, capability development directors, and industry, to share current requirements and experiences in equipment modernisation, and offer an attractive networking space to meet old and new peers.

Network Centric Warfare 2019
04 Feb 2019 - 05 Feb 2019 • Rome, United Kingdom
Abstract:
As the 21st Century battlefield becomes increasingly complex and asymmetrical, military forces are striving to harness network technology to gain an operational advantage, by transforming traditional linear command structures and linking sensors, unmanned vehicles, command posts, and ground troops to achieve decision superiority for full spectrum dominance. SMi’s 3rd annual Network Centric Warfare conference, returning to Rome in February, aims to explore strategic integration of networked platforms and military forces to achieve operational superiority. The two-day conference will showcase how embracing Network Centric Warfare can allow for greater information sharing and streamlined decision-making, enhancing operational effectiveness, as robust and dynamic networks are now a crucial requirement for successful joint operations and essential to modern military capabilities.

Military Space Situational Awareness 2019
01 Apr 2019 - 02 Apr 2019 • London, United Kingdom
Abstract:
Space is becoming more congested, competitive and contested with thousands of small LEO satellites set to be put into orbit over the next decade. These assets offer the opportunity to provide un-dreamt of levels of connectivity – but have also cluttered space and debris is now posing a radical risk to other space assets. With these important issues in mind, the 14th annual Military Space Situational Awareness conference will bring together key military, government, civilian and industry stakeholders to discuss the latest technologies and strategies being utilised to build a greater understanding of where assets are, how they are moving and the management of unwanted debris.

Future Armoured Vehicles Situational Awareness
03 Apr 2019 - 04 Apr 2019 • London, United Kingdom
Abstract:
SMi proudly presents the next annual conference in the sell-out portfolio of Armoured Vehicle events: Future Armoured Vehicles Situational Awareness 2019, taking place on the 3rd and 4th April 2019, in London. For modern mechanised forces, the ability to act quickly, decisively and accurately is vital. Future land forces must prepare for high intensity conflict, where information superiority and surveillance capabilities may be challenged by an innovative enemy. To maintain a competitive edge, it is therefore imperative for our defence forces to intimately understand the capabilities available, to enhance both combat effectiveness and survivability of the vehicle.
