Military Space Situational Awareness 2019
01 Apr 2019 - 02 Apr 2019 • London, United Kingdom
Abstract:
Space is becoming more congested, competitive and contested with thousands of small LEO satellites set to be put into orbit over the next decade. These assets offer the opportunity to provide un-dreamt of levels of connectivity – but have also cluttered space and debris is now posing a radical risk to other space assets. With these important issues in mind, the 14th annual Military Space Situational Awareness conference will bring together key military, government, civilian and industry stakeholders to discuss the latest technologies and strategies being utilised to build a greater understanding of where assets are, how they are moving and the management of unwanted debris.

Future Armoured Vehicles Situational Awareness
03 Apr 2019 - 04 Apr 2019 • London, United Kingdom
Abstract:
SMi proudly presents the next annual conference in the sell-out portfolio of Armoured Vehicle events: Future Armoured Vehicles Situational Awareness 2019, taking place on the 3rd and 4th April 2019, in London. For modern mechanised forces, the ability to act quickly, decisively and accurately is vital. Future land forces must prepare for high intensity conflict, where information superiority and surveillance capabilities may be challenged by an innovative enemy. To maintain a competitive edge, it is therefore imperative for our defence forces to intimately understand the capabilities available, to enhance both combat effectiveness and survivability of the vehicle.

Air Mission Planning and Support 2019
09 Apr 2019 - 10 Apr 2019 • London, United Kingdom
Abstract:
As revolutionary new aircrafts like the F-35 become more commonplace, technologies are rapidly developing resulting in operational environments requiring more flexible solutions, and mission planning becoming more complex as well as requiring extra tools for data management and standardisation. After the remarkable success of last year, SMi’s Air Mission Planning and Support Conference is returning for its 10th annual year to London, UK on 9th – 10th April 2019, with the aim of exploring emerging aircraft technologies, strategies and future platforms to take Air Mission Planning into the next generation, providing agile end-to-end mission support.

CUAS — Counter UAS Conference 2019
16 Apr 2019 - 18 Apr 2019 • London, United Kingdom
Abstract:
The UAS industry has grown considerably in recent years and our ability to counter these new threats is becoming more strained. These rapidly developing systems are becoming harder to identify and track, as well as being capable of carrying larger payloads. Their potential is devastating and the consequences of inaction are growing larger. The third annual C-UAS Conference provides a platform for military and industry to discuss the current developments in C-UAS capabilities, emerging technologies and the latest case studies to give real-world context to the conceptual and theoretical discussions. The proliferation of inexpensive commercial UAS democratises capabilities previously held by militaries, and enhances asymmetric threats.

Unmanned Maritime Systems Technology 2019
08 May 2019 - 09 May 2019 • London, United Kingdom
Organizer:
SMi GROUP
Abstract:
SMi has recognised that there is a continuing need to consider how unmanned platforms will be integrated into the fleets of the future. With a new generation of unmanned & autonomous systems, navies are optimising their strategic position by utilising these platforms for ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance), mine countermeasures, hydrography, anti-submarine warfare, and to deliver lethal capabilities. UMST 2019 will build on the momentum generated from last year’s conference and the Royal Navy’s exercise Unmanned Warrior. As technology and innovation continue to push the boundaries of operational capabilities in Naval Warfare, UMST will be a crucial forum for the discussion of current and future projects and programmes delivering unmanned and autonomous technology for modern navies.

New for 2019: Biomimetic Autonomous Systems, Verification and Validation of Unmanned Systems, Rotary and Fixed Wing Aerial Platforms for ISR, Autonomous Underwater Sensing and much more!
