UKIO 2019 — UK Imaging and Oncology Congress

UKIO is the permanent amalgamation of two well-known conferences – the UK Radiological Congress (UKRC) and the UK Radiation Oncology Conference (UKRO). 2019 will be the first year that this unified event will run as UKIO. This annual event consists of a three-day multidisciplinary scientific congress and technical exhibition, is aimed at all those involved in the field of radiological science and radiation oncology and attracts over 2,000 attendees. The 2019 theme is Personalise & Humanise. The scientific programme, that promises to be both innovative and varied, will create a true multidisciplinary congress, covering the widest range of topics.

The BIR/DMCRR — "Hands-On" training series: Liver and pancreatic imaging

The BIR midlands branch present the first in our Consultant Update Series study days. This one day event is aimed at consultant radiologists and radiology registrars, who would like to update their radiology knowledge in line with current evidence. The study day focusses on topics in a system specific method. Lectures will be delivered by consultant radiologists highly experienced in their areas of expertise. The first study day focusses on Thoracic and Hepatobiliary radiology. To improve the efficacy of the study day we aim to provide the update in an environment conducive for discussion and interaction.

In this one day event, we aim to highlight the importance of imaging in the diagnosis of dementia including CT, MRI and functional imaging.
