ECRICE 2020 was first planned to take place at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, in July 6-8, 2020 and ultimately postponed because of the COVID19 situation worldwide Excellence and Innovation in Chemistry Teaching and Learning Research in Chemistry education advances our understanding of how students learn chemistry and what can enhance chemistry learning and teaching. The European Conference on Research in Chemistry Education is aiming at improving science education all over the world. It is significant at present time, due to the fact that there is a decline in students in high school who choose to major in chemistry, and as a result – a shortage of chemistry students at the universities.
