Abstract:
“National Diagnostic Imaging Symposium” is an annual conference that has built a solid reputation among radiologists for its practical yet forward-thinking curriculum, as well as the high caliber of its faculty. This conference is designed to improve the medical knowledge and skills of community radiologists who are called on to be well-versed in a variety of radiology sub-specialties and body systems. The course will focus on emerging medical techniques, information and technologies, current medicine, as well as review of best practices in the field of radiology. The program features simultaneous presentations covering ten subspecialties including Musculoskeletal Imaging, Breast Imaging, Breast MRI, Gastrointestinal Radiology, Emergency Radiology, Genitourinary Radiology, Cardiovascular Radiology, Chest Radiology, and Neuroradiology. One full day is dedicated to each modality and up to 35 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ are available. Additionally, 28 Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) will be offered. This meeting has also been expanded to serve the needs of certain radiology specialists. We now offer an optional 5-day Breast Imaging track that will allow participants to receive up to 34.5 breast-imaging specific credits. Optional, no-cost breast imaging workshops you may attend include Advanced Breast Tomosynthesis and Automated Breast Ultrasound.

Breast Ultrasound with Tom Stavros: Hot Topics in Advanced Screening and Diagnosis

Abstract:
Updated throughout for 2018, this well-received comprehensive course on breast ultrasound, with an emphasis on a new classification system on breast cancer, “non”-mass ultrasound findings, a look at causes of false negative BI-RADS 3 classifications, and new ways of classifying breast nodules that can help objectively assign BI-RADS 4 subcategories and improve ultrasound’s ability to serve as a biomarker. In addition to faculty panel discussions with audience participation, there will be numerous case presentations and time set aside for questions and answers. Target Audience: Radiologists and radiology residents/ fellows, breast surgeons, sonographers, radiology technologists and advanced practitioners who desire to learn, in depth, how to use breast ultrasound in a clinical practice setting for diagnosis, screening and staging of breast disease.

Abstract:
The scientific programme will focus on all aspects of Thoracic Imaging of Respiratory Disease, with lectures on state-of-the-art CT, MRI, interventional radiology together with multidisciplinary scientific presentations on the most recent advances in our specialty. Among evolving topics, lung fibrosis, lung cancer screening, response evaluation criteria and the role of artificial intelligence in thoracic imaging will be covered in detail.

Workshops on chest X-ray reading, lung nodule management and high resolution CT will take place the day before the main meeting.
