3rd Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance Technology
30 Jan 2018 - 31 Jan 2018 • Rome, Italy
Abstract:
Over the past few years, maritime intelligence gathering and ISR capabilities have returned to the forefront of the defence industry. National maritime agencies are increasingly seeking to optimise their fleets and capabilities to address the challenges arriving from the surrounding seas. This can be illustrated in the multilateral coalition operation to address the migration crisis in the Mediterranean or with the Nordic response to climate change and the receding ice cap. In an attempt to provide solutions to these challenges, Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance Technology will cover a wide range of topics such as unmanned maritime system technology, intelligence gathering, C4ISR, AIS system technology, interoperability and system integration, and space-based surveillance. What differentiates our conference from other events in the industry is our keen and deliberate focus on space-based surveillance and space-based global maritime awareness. For the third year in a row, we have partnered with C-Sigma, an enterprise that “fosters wider cooperation and exchange in the use of and access to satellite-based maritime surveillance information at global level.”

Network Centric Warfare 2017
01 Feb 2018 - 02 Feb 2018 • Rome, Italy
Abstract:
As we look into the 21st century, the way in which military forces communicate, disseminate intelligence and issue orders is changing as several NATO-aligned nations pursue network enabled capabilities programmes. There is now an emphasis on ‘system of systems’ network that empowers a robust web of interaction between air and ground forces – maximising asset deployment and creating a common operating picture. As battlespace has become digitised, the focus on data and communication networking between joint forces and command and control facilities has taken centre stage. With combat exercises increasingly operating in asymmetrical environments, there is a growing need to exploit well networked forces. In this context, through streams of data and real-time analysis, decision making on the ground has become more effective and efficient - with robustly networked forces adaptively responding to threats with versatility and agility. The Network Centric Warfare conference will focus on key aspects challenging and enhancing joint operations - in particular, utilisation of digital fire support, interoperability between air and ground based communication systems, digitalisation of battlespace, improving technical education and the Forza NEC programme.

UAS West 2018 — Unmanned Aircraft Systems West Symposium 2018
12 Feb 2018 - 13 Feb 2018 • San Diego, United States
Abstract:
DoD has reported Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) growth rate between 2015 and 2035. It is expected that federal agency UAS fleets will grow from a few hundred to approximately 10,000, with over 90 percent of these vehicles categorized as Nano, Micro, or Small UAS. Ultralight, Light Sport, and Medium sized UAS will find a role with a number of agencies, such as Bureau of Land Management or Coast Guard, who need to survey large tracts of land or water for a variety of missions. In all cases, the UAS is the transport for the payload, be it sensors or cargo. The number and type of UAS developed, acquired, and deployed will be driven by mission needs and costs. Analysts still predict growth in this industry, estimating a total increase to just over $89 billion in the next decade. Not only is the military expected to sustain its backing of UAS technology, but the civil and commercial markets are poised to open up to a host of opportunities for the industry.

“Unmanned Aircraft Systems West” is a very valuable investment in your time. Attendees will obtain invaluable information on the emerging opportunities in the Military, Government, Commercial and Civil Markets found nowhere else. Key program offices will examine UAS from first hand experiences and address the Needs, Requirements and Opportunities needed.

Abstract:
Air Mission Planning is a well-established event, currently in its 9th year. The Air Missions Support market is active and operationally relevant as ever. With an aversion from placing boots on the ground in combat zones such as Syria and Iraq, air power is increasingly relied upon to project force. Commanders and procurers of air assets continue to seek means of enhancing the combat effectiveness of their platforms. To do so, effective mission planning, real time support and de-briefing is required.
