The COST action QTSpace (CA15220) on Quantum Technologies in Space brings together stake holders from academia, space agencies and industry. The Lisbon Training Workshop aims at establishing a common ground in know-how and expertise in state of the art developments in these diverse fields by providing a scientific workshop in the afternoons and pedagogical morning sessions on: quantum communication, quantum-enhanced measurements and tests of the foundations of physics. The afternoon sessions will further the discourse between space agencies, space industry and scientists from communities that have been pushing towards space applications of quantum technology: (a) atom interferometry, (b) atomic clocks, (c) quantum communication, (d) quantum optomechanics and high-mass matter-wave interferometry. There will be presentations by stake holders from space industry and space agencies, and there will be several panel discussions on exciting new developments in the field. The unique combination of training sessions and a scientific workshop will provide a perfect setting for networking among Early Career Investigators, leading scientists as well as stake holders from space agencies and space industry. Registration to the workshop is free of charge, the deadline for registration is June 7th, 2017.
